Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Forge on the web and in Forge Desktop during the public beta. They describe account responsibilities, billing, AI outputs, acceptable use, and how we may change or terminate access.
Overview
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to Forge — including the Forge website and Forge Desktop — operated by AlphaSynth AI (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, downloading Forge Desktop, or using AI and billing features, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Forge.
Accounts & security
You are responsible for your account credentials and activity under your account. Provide accurate information, keep sign-in details secure, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction (or have guardian consent where required). One person or organization should not share credentials across unrelated users.
Subscriptions, credits & billing
Paid plans and credit packs are processed by Stripe. Subscription tiers, included credits, and pack pricing are shown on Pricing. You can manage payment methods, view invoices, and cancel renewal from your Billing dashboard or the Stripe Customer Portal when available. Cancellation stops future charges; access and included allowances typically continue until the end of the current billing period. Unused credits may expire or roll over according to plan rules shown at purchase — confirm final terms with counsel. See our Refund policy for billing adjustments.
AI-generated outputs
Forge uses third-party AI models and our orchestration services to generate code, copy, images, and other outputs. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for production without review. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and securing anything you ship. We do not guarantee that AI outputs are original, non-infringing, or fit for a particular purpose. Do not rely on Forge as a substitute for professional advice (legal, financial, medical, security, or otherwise).
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Forge — including harassment, illegal content, malware, spam, attempts to break or circumvent security, scraping at abusive rates, or using the service to violate third-party rights. You may not use Forge to develop primarily illegal products or to attack others’ systems. We may investigate abuse, suspend or terminate access, and cooperate with lawful requests.
Local projects & file handling
Forge Desktop reads and writes project files on your machine in folders you choose. We do not take ownership of your local source code. When you use AI, deploy, sync, or cloud-connected features, selected project context, prompts, and metadata may be transmitted to Forge servers and AI providers as described in our Privacy policy. API keys, GitHub tokens, or other secrets you store via bring-your-own-key (BYOK) settings remain on your device unless you explicitly configure cloud features that require them.
Third-party services
Forge integrates with services such as Supabase (authentication and data), Stripe (payments), GitHub (repository access), and AI model providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, pricing changes, or policies outside our control.
Beta software disclaimer
Forge Web and Forge Desktop are offered as beta software during public beta. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Back up important work, use version control, and expect occasional downtime or data migration. The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AlphaSynth AI and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of Forge. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to Forge is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for Forge in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100), except where mandatory law provides otherwise. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations — your statutory rights may still apply.
Termination
You may stop using Forge at any time and cancel subscriptions through billing settings. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, risk to the service, or prolonged inactivity where permitted. Upon termination, provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limits, acceptable use, and IP disclaimers) remain in effect. Account deletion is described on the account deletion page.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for product, legal, or operational reasons. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (for example by email or in-app).
